Before founding MAK & Partners Advocates, Ken was a wellknown Partner at Ashitiva Advocates LLP, where he headed the Conveyancing and Commercial Law Department for 10 years. During this period, he dedicated over 10,000 hours to sharpening his legal skills, strategies, and advisory expertise.
Ken has advised and structured complex real estate projects from inception through construction to eventual sale, utilizing joint ventures, equity ventures, and special purpose vehicles (SPVs). His mastery of real estate, construction, banking, and commercial law has earned him strong client relationships and recognition in the industry.
He has also contributed significantly to national legal reforms. Ken was appointed as a member of the Ardhisasa Technical Committee, representing the Law Society of Kenya in the improvement of the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS). Additionally, he served on the Technical Committee appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Lands to draft conversion manual guidelines for transitioning old title deeds into the current regime under the Land Registration (Registration Units) Order 2017.
