Wangui Mwaniki

Wangui Mwaniki is a Partner and Head of Tax within the Firm. Wangui is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over fifteen years of practice. She hlods a Bachelors of Laws LLB, University of Wales Aberystwyth and a Higher Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Wangui is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries, Kenya. Further, she has a certification in Petroleum Operations, PETRAD from Norway.

Wangui is a seasoned tax lawyer with over fifteen years’ experience in tax disputes resolution having worked with the KRA for ten years, eight of which were with the litigation team and two with the Alternative Dispute Resolution team and was one of the initial ADR Facilitators under the KRA ADR Framework. She possesses dispute resolution experience across all tax practice areas.

In her previous role, Wangui was an Off Counsel at the prestigious firm, ALN Kenya, Anjarwalla and Khanna (A&K). Prior to joining A&K, Wangui was Head of Tax Disputes & Controversy at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Kenya. In addition to her budding career in tax dispute resolution and controversy, Wangui enjoys cooking and sampling various international cuisines.
